Our Community Investment Grants

Through our diverse grantmaking programs, including the Greatest Community Need Grants, Field of Interest Grants, Designated Grants, and Donor-advised funds, we aim to provide sustained and impactful support for these agencies which are addressing the greatest needs in our community. By investing strategically in these focus areas, we strive to foster a healthier, more resilient community where everyone can thrive.

Greatest Community Need Grants

The Greatest Community Need Grant, funded by the Greater Good Society Fund, plays a crucial role in addressing the most pressing issues identified through the Cabarrus Health Alliance Community Needs Assessment. This grant is designed to support initiatives that directly tackle the community’s most urgent challenges, ensuring that resources are allocated where they are needed most.

Field of Interest Grants

We also proudly administer Field of Interest Grants, which are funded through various dedicated funds supporting specific areas of community need. These grants aim to bolster nonprofit agencies that focus on critical issues within their respective fields of interest.

Designated Grants

Designated Grants exemplify targeted community impact. These grants are funded through designated funds generously established by community investors who have identified specific nonprofit agencies they wish to support. By aligning their philanthropic vision with our mission, these donors ensure sustained and meaningful contributions to the agencies that play pivotal roles in Cabarrus County. The Designated Grant program allows for direct, focused support, empowering selected agencies to expand their reach and effectiveness in addressing critical community needs.

Donor-Advised Grants

Donor-Advised Grants at the Greater Cabarrus Foundation are funded by dedicated community investors through their donor-advised funds, allowing them to support one or more specific agencies or areas of interest close to their hearts. By empowering our donors to direct their contributions toward causes they are enthusiastic about, we ensure that our grantmaking reflects the diverse needs, priorities, and interests of Cabarrus County.

“It’s an entirely local foundation and distributing funds within the Cabarrus County. It will be meeting the needs and expanding the safety net in the county.”
