Grantmaking Priorities
We leverage our deep understanding of community needs to enhance the network of nonprofit agencies in Cabarrus County. Our grantmaking strategy prioritizes supporting agencies which address the greatest needs in our community as determined by the Community Needs Assessment conducted once every four years by the Cabarrus Health Alliance, the public health authority in Cabarrus County. These include ensuring access to stable housing, nutritious food, quality healthcare, educational opportunities, employment resources, and other community needs.
Current Greatest Needs (2020 CHA Needs Assessment)
1. Housing and Homelessness
2. Early Childhood Education
3. Behavioral Health
"Joe and I commend the foundation's focus on fundraising, grant-making, and collaboration with local agencies, recognizing these functions as essential for the ongoing success and future sustainability of these organizations and our community.
