Support Cabarrus provides structured, practical support that helps nonprofits build strong foundations, operate effectively, and focus more fully on their mission.
Whether through free programming, fiscal sponsorship, or professional services, this work exists to ensure nonprofits have the tools, systems, and guidance they need to thrive.
Board Matching Training
Strong nonprofit boards don’t happen by accident. They are built intentionally, with the right people, skills, and expectations in place.

What Support Cabarrus Provides
Support Cabarrus offers three primary areas of support:
Free Programming
No-cost capacity-building support for Cabarrus County nonprofits.
Includes:

- Board Matching & Board Education
- Quarterly Lunch & Learn workshops
Designed to strengthen governance, leadership, and operational effectiveness.
Professional Services
Fee-based administrative, financial, grant, marketing, and consulting support.
Includes:
- Financial Support
- Grant Services
- Marketing Services
- Strategic Consulting
Delivered through a technical assistance model that allows organizations to retain full independence while receiving professional back-office support.
Fiscal Sponsorship
Comprehensive fiscal sponsorship (Model C) for emerging initiatives and charitable projects that do not yet have 501(c)(3) status.
Provides:
- Legal and fiduciary oversight
- Financial management
- Administrative infrastructure
Enabling leaders to focus on program delivery while operating under the Foundation’s umbrella.
