The Greater Cabarrus Foundation is honored to administer the Ken Yelton Eagle Scout Scholarship Fund, generously established and seeded by Uwharrie Bank. This scholarship honors the life and legacy of Kenneth “Ken” Yelton and supports Eagle Scouts as they pursue undergraduate education.

Ken Yelton dedicated more than 42 years to banking and community leadership, serving as Market President of Uwharrie Bank until his retirement in December 2024. An Eagle Scout himself, Ken embodied the values of leadership, service, integrity, and compassion throughout his personal and professional life.

This scholarship reflects Ken’s lifelong commitment to service and invests in the next generation of Eagle Scouts who demonstrate those same principles.
